EMPLOYEE COUNSELLING
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Counselling
Employee Assistance Programmes are great for businesses, whatever size the business. For smaller budgets, EAPs can be an unrealistic luxury.
What I offer is a quick-bespoke service for employers and their employees. I also provide counselling for charities and local authorities who need an external service.
How I can help?
People have lives, you may or may not know what is going on for your employees. As well as their personal lives, people also have their work life. People are usually able to focus and switch off to what is going on in their life, and work can be a place to escape personal life.
However, if something big is going on for your employee, this can make it difficult to concentrate at work - their behaviour may seem different, and they may seem unproductive in comparison to how they can usually be.
Disciplinaries, warnings and monitoring staff will only add lead to more stress & anxiety, and create more problems resulting in a downward spiral for all involved.
Anxiety & Stress stems from experience - whether in personal life or work life, and when people are experiencing stress at work & home it can be hard for people to get away, and find space. Continued stress leads to anxiety, and often leads to depression, which is detrimental to the business - as performance is affected and/or absences occur. Whether a business is a small or large business, it will suffer if staff are suffering, and if you are a small, or niche business it can take only one person to be off sick for the business to drastically fall behind.
By offering a quality counselling service to your staff, you are supporting their welfare. In supporting staff welfare you are supporting health, and by supporting health and well-being you are supporting your business in being more productive and efficient.
Getting someone the right external professional support is a 'no-brainer investment.
A 2010 systematic study by McLeod of the research evidence, showed that workplace counselling interventions have been found to reduce sickness absence rates in organizations by as much as 50%. Capita analysed data on more than 3,500 people who had used EAPs advice and counselling services and found employees coping poorly with the demands of their job fell from 51% before counselling to just 5% afterwards - a decrease of 90%.

'Counselling for Liverpool Ltd' offers an easily accessible counselling service. The service is confidential, and the only time you would find out about an employee's personal matters is if they tell you. As an employer, and in agreement with your employee, you will be given feedback on attendance to counselling.
Counselling is not about telling people what to do or managing them. It is about helping people to recover, and start to help them manage themselves. I also am a trained NLP Coach, and EMDR Therapist, and I can help in other ways too. I have helped people with many concerns such as accidents, anxiety, bullying, depression, drinking & drugs, relationships, stress, trauma & PTSD
If you would like information about how I could help, then please get in touch. If you are to refer an employee, be supportive about counselling and let them know you want the best for them. Your employee will need to consent to counselling for me to accept the referral.
