As counselling & psychotherapy is a largely un-regulated profession,
therapists can charge whatever they like for their services.
Paying more doesn't necessarily mean you get more or better quality.
Eg. You can pay £350 an hour and £50 an hour, and the one who charges more maybe able to offers less..
A masters course is shorter than a diploma
A psychologist may not be trained in psychotherapy..
or someone may claim to be an 'expert' in say 'addiction', yet only has a few years experience in the field..
Someone may have many years of experience, but never furthered their training since..
I like to think that I bring good value for what I charge, with substantial training and experience

Regular 50 minute 1:1 sessions
£90.00 In Person or Online Mon - Fri 8.00am last appointment 4:00pm £120.00 on Saturdays & from 5.00pm Onwards Mon-Fri Enhanced 1.5 hour 1:1 Sessions £155.00 In Person & Online Mon - Fri 8.00am last appointment 4:00pm £220.00 on Saturdays & 5.00pm Onwards Mon - Fri Couples/Relationships - 1 hour of Counselling £180.00 (Saturdays only 9.30am - 1.00pm) If you would like to arrange to pay by cash, please email me in the first instance. If you have not seen me before I will require payment for your initial appointment before I see you. Please note: that I no longer take referrals for anykind of social work, or medico-legal work. I like to take self referrals only where possible. |
(Missed or cancelled appointments with strictly less than 48hrs notice are charged for in full)
