A little bit of my way of working (at the moment)
I work from a strong and not specifically Person Centred foundation.
I like to see things through an existential perspective (which need not be as complex as it sounds). I believe that first you exist, things happen, and then you give meaning to that experience.
Many people will believe 'everything happens for a reason'
I believe Nothing happens for a reason unless you give reason to it. I like this concept as it can be both challenging yet comforting.
People in therapy often are struggling with meaning and what it means to them that such a thing has or hasn't happened. By the very fact of something happening means that something else has not happened.
